Target Audience
This activity is intended for hematologists, nurse practitioners, physician associates, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals who are involved in a workup following a low ANC.
Course Description
Through following a conversation between a physician and a family in whom DANC has just been identified, learners will learn more about the biological mechanisms underlying DANC and the epidemiology of the Duffy null phenotype. Learners will demonstrate how to address common questions and concerns in patient conversations.Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the phenotypic features of ACKR1 genetic mutation
- Describe DANC as a clinically benign condition
- Provide appropriate clinical guidance and support to individuals with DANC
